Since the Tri-motor's original finish wasn't bright mirror aluminum (but it had a kind of protective layer that made it a bit dull (I don't remember well the exact technical term) the silver cardstock you have will surely be appropriate for it.

I'm using a satin finish silver paper for the USS Macon, now under construction. Looks great so far.
