1/50 for an airliner would be huge. Like 10 foot wingspan huge.
Check out the 747 page on my site to see what I'm working on. Murph's Models - Boeing 747 |

Personally I would go with 1/100 scale.

I like the bare metal American Airliner shuttle carrier also. 1/100 scale sounds interesting. How big would a model be at 1/100? |

Dunno yet. At 1:150 the wing span is 17 inches. Somebody math it out for me.

25 and a half inches if I'm correct. I'm looking forward to that American Jumbo. Looks great.

If you can't do 1/72.......... then 1/100 or 1/144

Hi Murphy
Heres my input and a Q. 747 scale: 1/144 would be good as the AMX shuttles would fit nicely. OV-1 Mohawk: Whats the statis on this one, what version and about how big is it? QF-100: You beat me to it.

the Mohawk stalled out. Gotta go look at one for inspiration again.
I actually looked at recommending the AMX shuttles to put on the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft. At least until I can get one of my own designed (I'm trying, but just can't grasp the shape of the fuselage yet.) I'm also thinking of designing an X-45C to put on it too. |

I was thinking an airstream travel trailer would look nice up there. Or the R/V from the Space Balls movie.
I was up in LaGuardia yesterday and saw the Air Force 2 version of the 757. Very pretty. |

I would vote for a 1/72 scale version, but as it's rather large I'd happily settle for a 1/100 scale version.
