Still large (pay attention to the belt loader on the right side of the picture) A-321 at the gate next to it. The belt loader from the previous picture is now on the left side. |

They look nice, have you been seeing the 737 MAX lately?

I have no idea how to tell the 737 Max apart from the 737-8. Somebody said the winglets are different, but those vary from airline to airline.

They have bigger engines with chevrons, and a round tail cone at the back. That's how I tell them apart.

I haven't seen any of those yet. Southwest is supposed to have a couple flying into here, but I haven't seen any yet. I'll have to pay closer attention. American hasn't put any in yet (though I have seen a couple 737-8's with the engine chevrons).

Taking a couple days off. I survived 2017, so in celebration, we are going to Disneyland.

This larger engine means a slightly redesigned pylon to mount to. Because of this, I do not think the new MAX engines can be mounted on a NG aircraft. Regarding the winglets: The ones on the Max do not have the smooth sweeping transition that the ones on the NG aircraft have. More info here: Boeing 737 MAX - Differences

In order to make it to the convention in Ohio this May, I need to hold a fundraiser (hopefully it works out this time). To anybody who donates at least $5.00, I'm going to offer a special model. I'm still developing it (It's on paper, I just need to see if it's buildable).
Here's a hint that'll probably give it away: |

*looks at the picture and HMMMMMMMS as he holds a 'knife' * Was the prototype painted bright red and had an actual name instead of a Letter name for the Production models?
