My refresh project for this week is a redraw of the Antonov AN-2 Colt. So far I have a Soviet and Aeroflot version done.
I'm also planning on a Chinese Nanchang Y-5 with optional floats, and a Polish version with floats. I have the floats picked out and scaled, I just have to build them, and make the struts. |

Throwing out a random thought. WWII spotter models seem to be popular. If I offered a set, would anybody buy them? They'd be all black(ish) with minimal panel lines, probably just control surfaces and landing gear doors in contrast. You'd have to invest in black printer ink.

I'm not sure what are thinking of with "blackish" remark.Simplified, yet the same scale models?
Spotters are interesting because they are usually easier to build and very cool looking when build (even odd ones). When I commissioned Fiat G.50 Curtiss Owl was one of the planes I was considering. It lost to Fiat since drawings for G.50 are readily available and Curtis Owl is not very popular subject for models, drawings are not so good either. |
