I'm actually giving serious thought to that one. Just gotta figure out how much detail I want to put into the under carriage.

I've been wanting to do this one for a while.

Ole Shia Lebouf finally got to me yesterday

and I made it this far.

I'll study the landing gear on the real thing later at work, so I can figure out how they work.

Gee, kind of looks like a CRJ1000. But, they all look alike to my old eyes now that they don't have a couple of radials up front . Keep up the great work.

Great idea John, I haven't seen a model of a L-188 Electra (at least not one that you can download).

I'm formulating an idea to set up a southwestern/western regional papermodelling convention. Just some basic ideas so far:

- some time between October to April to avoid the spicy season here, but not conflicting with the big IPMC in Virginia, or the Dayton OH. get together.

- 3 possible locations, that are driving distance for me (so I can attend my own convention): Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, AZ; Commemorative Air Force Museum in Mesa, AZ; Planes of Fame in Chino, CA.

I am open to suggestions about other museums though.

I don't have any official plans yet, I just want to test the waters to see if there's any interest.

I've already gotten suggestions for Las Vegas, but I don't know what air museums are there. (I want it at or near an Air museum)

The Planes of Fame Museum in Chino is very much into (plastic) model kits. They have a whole building dedicated to them in unbuilt form. They might sponsor a get together. There’s also Yanks Air Museum at the same airport with a fun boneyard out back to walk around and through. Also it’s closest to a large population center.

But the Pima Country Museum is a must see for any airplane enthusiast. Just harder to get to. Probably more expensive to fly into than the other two choices.

I know. I follow Pima on the Book of Faces, and they've put about 8 new planes out on display, and got about 5 more that they're prepping, in the past 6 months.
