AN-2 Colt Update #1

I first wanted to tackle the fuselage/canopy connection. That was my main concern. Turns out patience and time helped out cus it fit together beautifully. Here it is.

Update #2

Finished the fuselage. No fitting issues. Time to give these old eyes and hands a rest. Anyway, here it is.

I wonder if that night fighter version of the A/B-26 might have served with the French Air Force, seems to me I once saw a photograph of a B-26 ,in an all black color scheme, was used in France in the late 50's, seem to remeber it supposedly had radar out out retired Gloster meteor NF's, had the machineguns in the underwing gondolas, but can't remeber the book or any other details.

I believe you're right. I've definitely seen photos of those B-26 night fighters in french colors. They were modified B-26B.

*google a bit*

OK, I actually have an issue of AFM (the short lived Aviation Française Magazine, not Air Forces Monthly) with an article about the night fighters operations in Algeria. There are 3 B-26N profiles and a few pics. One of them had a shark mouth (here is a pic of that profile, another one).

ECN 1/71 used 10 MD 315 R radar (+ 1 without radar), 6 B-26N and 6 Meteor NF11. The MD 315 R and the B-26N used the same AI Mk. X radar. The Meteors were sent back to the metropole as the Invaders replaced them.

That gap in the underside of the C-141 wing did NOT happen on the other side, therefore i have to conclude that it was somehow my fault lol. There are some uncolored bits on one of the engine pylons.

Also got new models for you guys in your emails. Have fun.
