This one'll take a bit. Somewhere between the last save and when I finished drawing the tabs, Rhino had a brainfart. I opened the file, and it started screaming about a geometry error that it couldn't draw. By the time I got it sorted, the fuselage of the Agusta was gone (although the panel lines were still there...weird) as well as all the tabs I'd spent 4 hours drawing.

Fortunately, I'd already unrolled the model and exported it, so no big disaster. I'll just have to decide what to do about the instructions; redraw the fuselage, or make something up.

We'll see after I sleep, finish thinking evil thoughts involving Rhino, my computer, and half a ton of TNT, and go out and wish I could get drunk.

Besides, there are 5 or 6 beta's out there still waiting to be built, and 3 or 4 more I haven't sent out.

I like it. Send it to me when you get it done, and I'll add it to the CD. Send it in to ecardmodels too.

Super Frelon progress:

This fit in fuselage beside a complex shape is very good. The only issue is a rear close, there is no indication of how close the step of the keel, the part is bent inwards and the flaps out, but do not fit well with the first section of the tail, I believe that images rendered this part of the building to solve the problem, and perhaps a small redesign of the bottom of the first section of the tail is also interesting.

The fuselage is completed no issues in another sections of tail. Pics later...

Aww, crap. That part got screwed up on my end. The step is supposed to go the other way, with the wide part towards the center. I'll fix it and send you the corrected page.

Aaron,

Don't suppose you could do a movie aircraft from just the "looks" could you? It's the "Rutland Reindeer" from "No Highway in the Sky."

Eek. I gotta do some research to find out where to even start.

A little research says the plane for the movie was a heavily modified Handley Page Halifax. I'm not seeing it anywhere in there.

From the looks of it in the pictures, everything aft of the cockpit and forward of the empennage is HP Halifax fuselage. The outer wings appear to be off a Canberra B2. and the inner wings and wing roots appear to have been hacked off either a Bristol Brabazon or DH Comet airliner.

Whoever created the aerial monstrosity in the picture certainly had imagination in choosing the respective components, but I doubt the individual concerned was anywhere near sober at the time.

Then again, taste and aesthetics are based in individual perception.

Kind and Respectful Regards my friends, Uyraell.

Are you sure? The 3-views and images of the Halifax I found showed a squared oval fuselage covered in fabric. This think looks to have a round metallic fuselage. Halifax Fuse= 0 , Reindeer Fuse= O .
