Another friend for Rocket to play with. This one's a little flat though.
Our little train is getting long |

It is coming along very nicely.

Final car for the Rocket (unless I find more) is the Royal Mail Coach.
I need a longer display shelf Now to write up instructions (fortunately the cars all use the same chassis), then get everything labelled, and it'll be ready for release. |

Fantastic! This whole rake was on my mental list to design in OO or N scale, but now it's done I think it would be possible to just downscale yours.

This year I want to focus on Railroad themed models. The Rocket is out now, and the Big Boy is in process. What are some suggestions for models? I kinda want to stick to American Railroad themed models (There's a better chance I could get access to the real thing for reference). Plus there are tons of European and Japanese railroad models already.
So far, these are what I've got plans for: Mallard. Gotta have the worlds fastest steam locomotive. I might even include a dynamometer car if I can find plans. Union Pacific's Gas turbine locomotive GG1 (I know there are existing models, but I want to put my twist on it in O Scale) And I can make a gag model of the G 1/2 F40PH. I've found a few different sets of markings, including Santa Fe Warbonnet. A throwback to the very first paper model I ever designed, but never released (I can't find it anyway). UP Track Evaluation car American Standard 4-4-0. I really want to recreate the Golden Spike ceremony in 1/24. I am open to other suggestions as well. |

Those all look good - would suggest a 4-6-4 Hudson streamliner if you're doing US locos.
Mallard, a streamlined A4 Pacific, is a more complex shape. It's vagely on my list of locos to design in the future, but I know that Paper Trade has a superb model already in existance.

You could try your hand at the Aerotrain (examples at museums in both Green Bay, WI and St Louis, MI)

As mentioned elsewhere, I'm partial to the Lima-made Southern Pacific #4449 "Daylight," would be a nice-looking model.
