All those engines. You guys are gonna engine me to death.

I did a quick google search for 3-views, and didn't turn up much.

That's good. The front is always where I get nervous. Oh, and for the last 2 parts, in case the instructions aren't clear enough, the seams go on top (they're covered by the rotorshaft cover)

A question for everybody:

I do all the models in 300px resolution in Photoshop, which leads to some large files for the larger planes. I'm limited to emailing 25MB, and a few have gotten close to that (I had to play with the Staaken to get it down to 24mb size)

Would it be really noticeable if I lower the resolution to 200px?

I don't think it would affect much of the base model but may be noticeable on some of the smaller graphic details such as insignia and nose art.

It may take a bit of extra learning but vector art is the way to go here. A similarly detailed vector file for your stakken could be under a meg or two.

There's a steep learning curve to get me into vector. I have Inkscape, but all I can do with it so far is open wmf's and save as pdf's.

I've tried working with it, but I can't even figure out how to zoom.

Maybe I can knock the instructions down to 100px or so

If you mean zooming in Inkscape Aaron....on the tool palette, click on the magnifying glass icon. Fourth from top on the side tool bar. then you can click the + or - buttons on the tool bar that pops up. Clicking and dragging a box zooms into the box you dragged out. I also just now figured out, if you left click on the document, it zooms in...right click, it zooms out.

That's a start. Now I just need to figure out how to select, cut, make layers, paste, rotate, resize, and color.

*Head explodes*

Is there a vector program that's more user friendly?

LOL! I feel the same way. I find it easier for me to work in Photoshop than in Inkscape. I've watched Ryan's video, but am still lost in Inkscape.

I don't know of any other vector program that is more user friendly per say, but I would think since I am used to Photoshop, that Adobe Illustrator would be easy for me to learn/use.....but the only hurdle for me is to get the money to buy it.
