I haven't done it yet, though I seen to remember somebody else working on one. Gary Pillsworth maybe. Dunno.

For years, I've been wanting to design some form of water-borne craft, but never quite found one that fit my qualifications: good scale to size ratio, no microscopic parts by the millions, relatively simple hull. etc.) I was perusing the local hobby shop, looking for inspiration (that's my story, and I'm sticking to it) when I came across this little beastie:

It met enough of the qualifications (plus it was on clearance), so I figured I'd give it a try.

I've done enough flying boats that a non flying boat shouldn't be too hard (a designers famous last words).

by the way i was wondering if i could get a repaint on a B-25 for a museum i go to. they have an airworthy example and no one has been able to model it for some reason and it would tickel them pink if i show up with one. i just did a model railroad event in early december and the now have me on call for future events and to build models for events as well.

Ive already got a John Dell B-24D assembly ship hanging up in the gift shop and would love to hang it next to it

Shane,

When John Bowden get back, I'll connect with him. I think we could give it a try for you. Please PM me, and I'll give you my e-mail to send photos to.

Thanks,
Gary

Got a commissioned model to report on. This isn't you're father's Mustang. (Or however that old commercial went...)

It's supposed to be the Ultimate Mustang. Except WWII ended before it got into serious production, and they had lots of D and F models already built for Korea.
