Nice work on that Judy (Yokosuka D4Y Suisei), Hank.

1/48 is my favorite scale - big enough for a duffer like me to deal with the parts, adequate detail, but buildable in a reasonable time. And, as you say, you can store and/or display more models.

One of the other good things about Murph's models (aside from the interesting subjects and great parts fit, which makes them buildable for an unskilled person like myself), is that they can easily be simply be rescaled down to 1/48 (or 1/60, which I like for larger aircraft), or any other smaller scale, without any complex graphics software.

All of which is why Murph's models, and those of a few other designers, hit my own sweet spot.

Don

Thanks for the kind words. It means a lot coming from experts! I give the credit to Murph and his excellent and very builder friendly design. I've got his Val, Zero and KI-30 Ann in the queue and look forward to getting them started. Thanks again, guys.

I'm thinking some time next year after my break I might have to do a 777.

*Non link breakdown: Cathay Pacific airlines is donating the worlds first Boeing 777 to Pima Air museum, and American Airlines is going to start a Phoenix to London non-stop flight using 777s. I might get to fuel those.

I don't know that anyone has done a 767...at least, I don't have one in my "Airliners" folder. You might think about that one, too.

That is great. Do you think PIMA/Boeing will put it into prototype scheme? An Air Canada will certainly have to be in repaint .

It is in my mind. I get to fuel Condor Airlines, Air Canada, and American Airlines 767s.

Probably not. They got a Japanese Airlines 787 in and kept it in those markings. They also got a flying eye doctor DC-10 and kept it in those markings.
