My sincere sympathies. Take care of immediate matters and take a pause to sort things out for as long as you need to. Honor your Dad's memory in your own personal way. The idea of your models to signify major points in his life is a terrific idea.

I'm sorry for your loss, Aaron. Rest assured that in many ways, he will always be with you.

Aaron,
I lost my dad 49 years ago at the age of 15. I'm now approaching age 65 and my memory of him is as vivid as it was 49 years ago. Your dad will always be with you to guide you through life. Consider yourself very fortunate to have had a lifetime of memories with the person who helped mold you into the person you are today.
Your biggest tribute will come from living the rest of your life they way he would have wanted for you.
My sincere condolences to you and your family at your dad's passing and my prayers are with you at this most difficult time.

I am wishing you moments of peace and comfort and believe you will experience such as you concentrate on constructing his memorial page.

I'm still looking for pictures of his time in the Air Force (Most of it was classified and secret, so might be difficult). Based on stories he told, I know of 3 things he did:

-Maintained the weather radar on EC-47 "Electric Goons"
-Maintained the navigation system on Hound Dog Missiles
-Maintained the astral-navigation system on SR-71 Blackbirds.

There are still 12 boxes of slides in storage to go through...

I was working on this all week, so I'm gonna push through and finish it up:

Aaron,

That was me in 2015, I hope you find your peace. The rest of my family was travelling so I was the only one present when Dad passed away from Alzheimer's disease. I always felt we lost him long before then, but I was grateful his suffering ended. Now I'm spending as much time as I can with Mom.
