Yep. The going rumor is that American is going to replace all the old hangar queen 757s that fly to Hawaii from here with 787s. They're also opening up new flights to London in March, but I can't nail down what they're going to use. News reports are saying 777s, but internal rumors say 767s.

That's good news on the work front, and interesting info about your interaction with airplanes and the 757/787 swap out. It's odd to me to hear the 757 referred to as an old airplane. I remember when they first entered service, and I still think of the 757s and 767s as new aircraft.

I look forward to your future projects related to your Dad's aviation service.

And to that revisitation of the Burnelli (CBY-3?).

Don

Most of the 757's here are teenagers, and the maintenance department here isn't that good. So they're spending more and more time in the hanger and less time earning money. I think once an airplane hits 20 years old, the main airlines start looking for prospective smaller airlines to sell them to.

That CBY-3 looks very promising. Are you going to do it in CF or N17N markings? I think I would do a Buffalo or Air North fantasy scheme with some mining cargo .

Hang in there.

Dunno yet. I've seen 2 or 3 sets of markings, so I might go with all of them. Plus a "What if" American Airlines version.

I learned a few things about Dad today that I want to add to his memorial model page. One thing is that, during the late 70's, he was in charge of the US mobile hospitals that were sent into war zones and disaster areas from Ramstein AFB. They still use practices and procedures that he created. So I want to create a model/diorama of a mobile field hospital from the 70's. I already created a M*A*S*H Diorama for FG, but I don't know if it ever went up, and I don't have access to the downloads section there anymore. Does anybody know if the diorama is still available? Or can somebody direct me to some reference material for mobile hospitals?

Your M*A*S*H tents are still there on FG either with the WWI tents or with the Bell 47
Also the CH-54 Tarhe carried briefly a detachable field Hospital Pod like a mash unit.
Rawen made a Mash unit in 1/250 if that's any additional help.
My thoughts and Prayers are with you hearing your loss. Hang in there
