I've been wanting to expand my vehicle section, and was browsing around looking at random blueprints when this popped up:

Upcoming models-williys-jeep-t14-1942.jpg

I thought to myself "Nah, that can't be a real vehicle. Probably somebody made it up. Then I did a quick google search:

Upcoming models-64dc0471d1a2cda23ca224bc9f9d7183.jpg

Apparently it was a real vehicle built during WWII. Now I gotta give it a try.

I'd imagine that the one with double dually setup would handle about as well as a barge.

How about the 8 wheeler. I bet it had a tight turn radius.

I like the idea of the fully tracked one. And the trailer is a must do.

L-188 air tankers

While waiting on the tarmac at CYZF, had a chance to watch a bunch of take-offs and landings of Buffalo Electra air tankers working a fire just outside of town. Looking forward to Aaron's L-188 when he has a chance to finish it.

Regards,
John

I started a new job last week, and unfortunately finished the airport job halfway through a pay period. So my income this month is smaller than usual. And sales on the site have been just this side of abysmal (my fault because of lack of new models). Unfortunately my bill collectors aren't as accommodating as I'd like them to be, so I'm a bit short in the funds department, again. Some people have helped already, but I need more. As a fundraiser I'm going to offer the Heinkel He-70 models for free to anybody who donates, and if I can break $400 by Wednesday (or sooner) I'll put it up in the Freebies section.

Good news is that the new job pays better, is way less stressful, and gives me lots more time off to work on models. Plus I get weekends off now! I finally get to say TGIF after 20 years.

I'm building beta He-70 now and all I can say is money will be well spend. It's a beautiful and well fitting model (so far).It will be a while before I complete it but I'll post pictures when it comes together far enough.

That's so you can read the registry when the rookie pilot noses it over.
