My new job doesn't allow me to work directly with airplanes anymore, but I still get my airplane fix. We're right next door to Scottsdale Airport, which is a small private field. I've seen several different Diamond DA-20's, hundreds of single and twin engine prop planes, a bunch of twin engine business jets, a single engine private jet, and even an old Pitts biplane doing practice strafing runs (I distinctly heard popping sounds, and it had flashing lights on the wings).
I also get to drive to local venders, which are based around Sky Harbor, and Deer Valley Airports. (Airports seem to attract industrial and manufacturing for some reason.) Oh, and the company I work for builds load cells and pressure measurement tools for the aviation industry, NASA, and SpaceX. But the best thing I found so far was this gem: These pics are taken from Google Maps, because I didn't have time to stop. A quick Google search says it's possibly a Curtiss JN-4 Jenny, though there are some bits missing (The hoops under the bottom wing tips) |

The picture threw me for a bit, because of the triangular shapes at the bottoms of the inner struts. Then I realized that they were small floodlights, to light up the plane at night. I'll leave them off the model.

Sounds like the new gig is a step up (at least) from the ramp job. Congratulations, Aaron! ☺️

I think I've seen pictures of this Jenny somewhere. It's a non-flying (taxing condition) replica used in some film and I can't recall title.Of course I could be wrong

-------------- On an unrelated note: For those who wonder why I always send models out to beta builders, I present exhibit A: Should be an easy build, but I still managed to screw it up. |

Beta testing is very important.Seeing project on a screen and seeing it in paper can be different things.

Even more so for going from: Mind eye to computer screen to actual build.
XB-70 from the look of it.. Here's are a couple of Airliners from it.

Yeah. This one was an alpha build, where I discover what doesn't work.
