CD's for sale
It's finally time. I'm going to start offering CD's of Oddball Productions models for sale. As of right now, there are 17 models, but that number will grow rapidly (about 1 or 2 models a week). Currently I'm asking $40 per CD, payable on Paypal. If anybody is interested, send me an email at misery_boy(at)yahoo(dot)com, and we'll work things out.

I hope models will continue to be available individually. I have bought several of your models, but for $40.00, it is unlikely that I would want all the models on the CD, or even enough to make the price acceptable. Your models are great, and certain ones are interesting to me, but the varying scales, and odd scales at that, means nothing really fits my collection. Please keep designing and publishing, but continue to give us the opportunity to pick and choose what we buy to build.

No worries there. I'll keep selling through e-cardmodels. I'm trying to work my way towards every model being in the 1:30-ish range. I suck at math though, and trying to figure out how much to shrink the model to be 1:30 is a tad beyond me.
I might split the CD in to 2 CD's...$15 for helicopters, and $15 for airplanes. |

Good to hear...about them being offered individually, not you sucking at math...an affliction many of us suffer from.

I forgot to change that. I have everything I need to make and ship CD's, I just need somebody to order them.

I'm gonna resurrect the CD idea, except with a twist.
Rather than going through the pain of burning CDs, and figuring how to label them, and hope they work on everybody's computer, I'm gonna use flash Drives instead. They're universal, relatively inexpensive (usually) and... you can add new models directly to the drive as they come out. I now have 47 models available (freebies included), plus whatever comes out by the time you order the drive. I'm gonna do some research on flash drives to see what kind of prices I'm dealing with, and I'll set the price accordingly. Hopefully I can get this all up and running by the first week of November. |

Our Dollar Store has either 4gb or 8gb flash drives for $10.00, might look into that.

CD's are far more economical, and with a good burner and grouping of models, you will save money and time. I would not try to satisfy every quirk of every person. Follow the business models that work. You always get a cookie you don't like when you get an assortment. You're offering the models for next to nothing as it is!

Murph....I have found the little mini DVDs and Mini CDs at the local Dollar store.
They're pretty cheap. And you can fit one into a standard letter envelope (Put them inside a folded card for protection.) Regular size CDs need a slightly different size envelope to ship, but those are still not a big problem to mail. ...Heres another trick: buy a box of cheap Greeting Cards from the discount store. You can usually pick up last years stuff for a couple of dollars. And that gives you 20/30 Cards to hold CDs and larger envelopes included that will hold a single CD safely for mailing. If you models are in PDF format, on a CD (or DVD), they can be read on any computer. So theres no worries about format. Flash Drives is a great idea, but you are spending a lot more for individual drives and they now offer a new shipping problem. Play up the quantity (and quality) of models on the CD...to help justify the $40 price tag (which is the only thing that jumps out people right now). Give me the scale sizes of all your models, and I will give you conversion percentages. If you need models into PDFs, let me know too.
