Squad 51
Just thought I'd start this over here.
After buying the first 3 seasons of "Emergency!" on DVD, and it being my all time favorite show ever on TV (I stayed up until 3 in the morning to watch reruns as a kid), I ws inspired to see if I could find a model of Squad 51. Unfortunately, there aren't any out there. Sooo, to make a long story longer: And next, in color: It's been through a few more evolutions since these were taken, I made it smaller so I can scale it to Engine 51 and an ambulance once they're done. Now I just need to finalize the instructions and pages, then find somewhere to host it. Do we have a Parts Bin here yet? |

I haven't figured out a scale yet. It's about 6 inches long though.
One of these days I need to get my own website. |

Nice Murph, I like the work. Tires on these things look to me to be a BEAR (Ha!). I think that I would spend days on those bad boys. Speaking of which I need to get back to thinking about tire treads on airplanes. Hmm.

Um, yes. Both, if I can find the reference material. Which is harder than I thought. Turns out the local fire museum doesn't have a Crown, and their collection stops in the 60's, so no Ward Lafrance either. Here's a challenge. Can somebody in the LA area get to the LA Fire Museum and get me a good side view of Engine 51 and Squad 51? |

The Ward that was "51" was last used in Yosemite Nation Forest as engine 7.
I have Pictures if you want. Pm please. Surprisingly, a local Fire Museum in my area has 2 Crowns! Pale Yellow, But still California Crowns!. Problem is, I don't have a Digital Camera, so Although I could take pictures of them, it would be difficult to post them. A friend & firefigther has one, and has asked if I would build a model of the new fire House being built here, so I might be able to talk him into going to the museum & taking pictures. NO promises!
