Good idea John! The Convair 240 was a civilian commercial aircraft with a couple military versions. The C-131 Samaritan, and the T-29 Flying classroom ( I have photos of one of these!) Plus, the CV-240 was the follow on plane ordered by American Airlines to replace the DC-3.

So many planes, so little time to work on them.

I recently switched to a new job that, while paying less, has less interaction with the public (none at all). Instead of driving buses, now I clean and fuel them. Unfortunately, it leaves me so tired at the end of the day that I can barely see straight (not that I could before). So I only get 2 days a week to get any modelling done. Plus all the other chores that build up over the week.

You know Aaron, I'd thought of that more then once when I was driving there. Driving a bus is kind of fun, picking up morons and idiots sucks.

Not making the big bucks now, but happily retired making models.

They say I'm the first time somebody has gone from operator to service person. Usually it's the other way around.

Hope the new job works out, and hope you are out of the sun.

Nope. I work outside. But from evening into early morning. Which doesn't really matter here since it stays over 100 degrees even at night.

I'm gonna try something. I need fresh ideas for new models to design. Here are the qualifications:

1. I'm already working on a Transall C-160, so nobody suggest it.

2. Civilian Airliners built after 1970 will automatically be ignored.

3. Points will be rewarded based on the number of engines. The fewer engines the plane has, the more points it will get.

4. The number of years since the plane was first built will also count as points (i.e, a plane built in 1917 will get 100 points while one built in 1985 only gets 32).

5. Helicopters, X-planes, Weirdos and Failed Prototypes will get an extra 20 points.

The suggested plane with the most points will get picked, and if I can design it, the suggester will get the model for free.

I got a wild hair, and decided to record the process I use to design a model and post videos on Youtube. I gathered them all together on my site. The model in the video is a commission, and won't be available.

I'm not sure if it counts but I would be interested too, but I don't want to force you

Ronan

EDIT:
By the way I'm watching one of your video, this is very realistic, I've never used a 3D Engine but now it's looks less difficult.
THANK YOU
