WTF?! It looks like the rotor is pushed by hot gasses from that pipe leading into the rotor hub. Talk about the aerodynamics of a shoe box as well. The Fiat G-91s in the background are nice though.

Cold gases, apparently.

1961 Fiat 7002

"The main rotor is of the "cold jet" type, and is turned by ejecting compressed air, without any form of combustion, from nozzles at the blade-tips. Compressed air is provided by a Fiat 4700 turbogenerator. A small ducted tail rotor, mechanically-driven by the main rotor, ensures good manoeuvrability at low forward speeds and in autorotation. "

Easy model to do too. Basically a box with skids, and a rotor.

Grumman F7F Tigercat

Navy or Marine markings?

Something you would consider?

There has been a Tigercat by Fly Model, actually: Grumman F7F-3P Tigercat der USAAF 1:33 (3. Auflage) übersetzt
Not the worst kit, it seems...

Thanks,

I second a F7F, it's quite a rare aircraft, nevermind those engines almost dwarfing the fuselage!

It has made the list, just waiting until I get the urge to do it.
