For posterity this is another of Murph's beauty's.

Aichi D3A2 “Val” in 1/100 from Aaron Murphy

Really had a great time building this one. I'm not a Japanese a\c fan generally but am proud to have this on my shelf.

Yes, I have seen pictures of it. Hopefully someone will do walkarould typy set of pictures with close ups. I wonder if brown finish on it is faded paint or rust. Some pictures suggest plane was covered with very thin steel sheet rather than Ali since they show a lot of surface rust.

Thx MichealS for adding links to your bulds.Makes finding them a lot easier for newcomers.

Burnelli UB-14

I wanted to build this model for so long,it got its turn now.Very unusual yet easy to build.I replaced 3 bladed props with 2 bladed type from Lockheed Electra I did a while back.Much more correct look I think.Added exhaust pipes missing.I think front wheels are about 15-20% too large for plane judging from pictures of originals.I'm not sure what wing fillets are for.Model doesn't really need it and there are no gaps anywhere so I left them out.

Model can be recolored to variety of "what-if" possibilities since Soviets did experiments with similar ideas,Chinese (both sides) used anything with wings,so did S.American and Canadian cargo companies.

Here is one of those I did a while back as a "what if". I added wheel wells and a built up engine, a loop antenna and some wires. Alas it fell victim to my four year old grandson's enthusiasm.

That's one very interesting "what-if" . Too bad it doesn't exist anymore, I'd like to see up close detail you added to engines.Do you still have files of that recolor? Can you push it towards Aaron? Maybe he can post it for our enjoyment.

Edit-I'm sure Martin B-10 from FG was no inspiration for that recolor lol

Reminds me of a Popular Mechanics pic I remember as a kid with the passengers looking out the front of a big flying wing whiffer..
