Great build, and a nice re-colour.

I felt like something different and this one was printed for a while so here it is.
President GHW Bush TBF Avenger. Scaled down and I played around a bit with wings,in process of course I missed star w/bar on right wing.It shouldn't be there. Also I'm almost sure I got turret wrong way around and main undercarriage legs are too short. One thing that bothers me is prop.It looks nowhere near like props used on TBFs.I should easily source one from some DC-3. BTW-there are many really good pictures of plastic models of this particular plane with complete set of antennas and HVAR rockets. They can be used for adding a lot of details if you like. Otherwise it's a very cool model,I will do one of "Flight 19" someday since "Close Encounters.." film shows them and it's a really good film. Free model-free pictures Aaron |

Very nice clean build. Are you going to do a budworm bomber for Aaron next?

What bomber? There are few to choose from .
That reminds me-Avenger marked "Atlantic Theater" has early style stars. There is a logo on front of fuselage. What plane is this supposed to represent? One of those stationed in Iceland? I'm playing with C-119 Boxcar now.Unarmed transport in RCAF colors. Last edited by Butelczynski; 03-14-2020 at 03:38 PM. |

I was thinking of this simple repaint, but under more pleasant circumstances. It is the right colour .

Nope, not air tanker, though there were certainly some used for firebombing. These were used to spray for spruce budworm in New Brunswick.
