HH3 Jolly Green Giant

Well, thanks to a few guys on the forum ending me lotsa info I'd never find anywhere else, I finally decided I had enough to get started on the Jolly Green.

After 7 hours straight cussing and yelling at my computer, this is where I am:

I don't have an idea on scale yet, but the central keel (in red, running from the bow to the end of the floor) is gonna be 10 inches long.

Oh, and just by looking at it, this is gonna be one you build half at a time. Lay the keel down flat, then attach the framework to it. I'll post pics when I get to that stage (Still gotta unfold and figure out how to export to Photoshop)

ps: For those wondering, the 2 arms sticking out on each side are for the sponsons to mount on.

Hello fellow modeller, I'm also doing something similar- a CH-53 something. I've been in an on off working relationship with my version.

here is as far as i got before my attention subsided.

The fuselage is around 18 1/2" from nose to tip of tail. This project is shelved for the mean time though. I hope I can get back working on this again as soon as I feel like it again- I got too lazy, hehe. I look forward to seeing your progress.

At present, I've been learning to run a BLOG amongst other things

Yea! Jolly Green! Go Jolly Green!

It will have interior?

You going to unfold with Rhino? My first model, I can't unfold round shape like dome with it. I'm a newbie with Rhino and card model design. Maybe I'm not doing something right in Rhino that's why I can't unfold Round stuff? So, I unfold with Ultimate Papercraft 3D. Which is good. And I do like that program. Now I'm building my second model Savoia S21. I looking if any better way to unfold round shape.

Step right up folks, and see one of the most elusive birds there is. A bird so rare and hard to find, this skeleton is the only specimen known to exist..

(I got carried away in building, and forgot to snap a shot of it pinned to the board...oops)

That's a 12 inch ruler

Here's hoping I can get the nose right. (I've never done a boat hull before)

It's looking good so far, Murphy. But it sure doesn't look like your typical Fiddler's Green design. 8v)
