Yep, the page does not load for the V&A Museum of Childhood. Even the links on the V&A Museum website for the Museum of Childhood time out without loading. There are a paper model of a Toy Theatre and Toy Circus on the V&A Museum site.

Go here: V&A Home Page - Victoria and Albert Museum then mouse over Discover the V&A at the top and choose Things to do at home. There is a link to the toy theatre and then a link to the toy circus on the toy theatre page.

Thanks, Doug, I wasn't aware of the theatre and circus, just the eight vintage models from Mike's link. Not sure why it isn't working for you guys.

Well now, that link in Mike's post is now working.
Must have been gremlins at work.
Some nice vintage models on offer.

Just been looking again through the models. I went in 2010 and really enjoyed the paper model exhibition and the Museum itself. Pity I missed the paper model convention itself but the exhibition model dosplays were excellent.

I get the impression that this would be a great venue for future UK paper model conventions, given the previous show was held there and a good location.

Keen to exhibit if something is planned in the future.

First, thanks for the compliment.

Yes, the area we had was good. The museum were very helpfull and even had signs in the museum pointing to the room. The museum were happy for us to have the room, justifying it as an extension to the main exhibition.

I asked if we could have the room the following year and they said yes - but this time it would cost £ 700.

I go to an IPMS show each year and take my models - The exhibitors don't have to pay, but visitors do - any profit goes to a local charity. Tim is also there and he or I mention the show in advance on the forum. Tim also attends other shows and I think he "advertises" them on the forum.

Tim, if you see this, could you confirm my thought?

Cheers

Mike

Mike,
Can I get your autograph now, or do I have to wait in line?

Congratulations on a fine job. You deserved the recognition. Did you not display your Cologne cathedral? Or was it not done yet?

Phil

The exhibition was a few years ago so "my" Cologne Cathedral didn't exist.

However there were a few churches and this was the main one. With all the colours, it was difficult to miss!

This is thChurch on the Spilled Blood in St Petersburg.

Cheers
Mike
