This is the mother of all model events in Japan and probaly around the world. I will find out first hand tomorrow.
Does not look like there are any paper models. I think it is all plastic. Anyhow, pictures here that someone took and posted on line. wait for the page to load, there are over 1000 thumbnails pictures. ‚Q‚O‚P‚P@–‹’ƒzƒr[ƒVƒ‡[ Cheers Isaac |

They do some strange kits, like the visible rooster. Good to see the parts layout on the new Revell of Germany 1/24 Routemaster bus. That's going to take a good chunk of a paycheck (hope we don't go on strike, got too many models to buy).

First installment
Had a SUPER time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Huge place and lots to see and do. Sorry, no paper other than a sorry looking box that represented a street car or something. However, everything else was there. Plastic kits of everything. Planes, ships, vehicles, figures, structures, Gundam.... Lots of Radio controled stuff. Radio gear that looked like faces of robots, engines ( electric, gas, steam ), aircraft, boats, vehicles, and lots and lots of helicopters ( big to giant ). There were live demos flying helicopters ( in a net protected areas larger than a basketball court ), tanks, bulldozers, cars..... Lots of Airsoft guns that look , feel and cost probably like the real ones. Also, lots of product demos such as paints, tools etc... Isaac |

More pictures
Some more pictures from the show.
It is plastic and wood, so paper purist need not look. It was impressive though. Isaac |

More events coming up
There are two events coming up in November in the Tokyo area. The first one is the Iruma JSDF airshow with the Blue Impulse ( Nov 3 ) and then there is the Joyful Modelers convention ( I love that name ) November 19th and 20th. I am looking forward to being there and getting another perspective of modeling and aviation.
Enjoy Isaac |
