Qmhe 2008

Some of you may be aware that I'm a member of AMMS Brisbane (Australian Military Modelers Society). Every year AMMS displays at the Queensland Models and Hobbies Expo. I was asked to do a display of cardmodels for QMHE - that's what the rush to get the KV-2 done was about. It might generate some more cardmodelers in Brisbane or at least some interest in cardmodeling. Will get some images tomorrow.

Some images from QMHE of the cardmodel display. The polystyrene KV-2 turret built by one of the AMMS members was about 1 metre long and rotated - you could hardly miss the AMMS display.

I was told there was quite a lot of interest in the cardmodels - perhaps next year I'll try entering the competition - should give the judges some trouble.

The unifinished BT-5 was there too prove to any doubters that the models were made from card.
