No you don't have to run a table, but if you are local, I will add another table, to showcase those models you want to show,

Jim, we have had people ship a box to the Hotel and then setup, or a big enough hard shell to protect the models(some are even in display cases)

Let me know if you need more info.

If I'm in US next year then I might pop by, otherwise the convention is beyond me... Good luck with the organization.

Ok, I think I might try to pull this off. It would be a great excuse to spend some time at the Smithsonian and eating Blue Crab. I might even bring a box of airliners.

Hi all,

I have created a Myspace page and a group on Facebook for the IPMC.

On Myspace, I have added some of paper model designers who have a Myspace page.
you can visit the page by going here http://www.myspace.com/papermodelconvention

If you have a Myspace page, and would like to be friends, just request, and I will add you.

There is also a page for papermodelers.comI(used to be for CM.net) so if you want to add yourself there too, the more the merrier.

On Facebook, the IPMC group page is here International Paper Model Convention | Facebook

while you are adding yourself to that group, add me as a friend

Also, if you have something I should add to the myspace page or facebook group, send it to me or make me aware of it, pictures, videos, graphics, anything that is paper model related.

Be Part of the Paper Model Social Networking Crowd

Rick

This is something that I would really like to attend but I definately don't want to rent a car because I think DC traffic would drive me nuts (I'm a country boy) and I'm not familiar with public transit or DC in general. Might be nice if I could find a group to tag along with. The Smithsonian Air and Space would have to be on the list of what we would go see no ifs, ands, or buts(especially the Udvar Hazey Center).

well the cool thing is, we would be in Dulles, so flying into Dulles International is a possibility, and if I remember correctly, and I would have to check the Hampton Inn's website for that, they offer free shuttle to and from Dulles International

And the Udvar Hazy center is right there, at the Airport
