American Truck Historical Society Central Coast Show 7-20-2013
Nice show in San Luis Obispo last summer. A few samples: How about taking some scrapped out GM Futureliner pieces and stick it on a Pete chassis with a rollback bed and have one cool transporter; sort of rare on the West Coast a 1947 Corbitt, Dodge 6 cylinder flathead from a 57 WD basically smaller version of the Chrysler industrial used to create the multi block engine like in the Firefly, 1925 Dodge Bros. ambulance, 1928 REO Speedwagon - not the band.

I absolutely LOVE the first and last image.
Is that a bus conversion or an actual carrier? |

Looks like someone modified a Futurliner Bus to become a carrier.

Thanks for captioning and posting the photos! I enjoyed them, especially the 1937 Ford COE (beautiful style, beautiful color), and the '47 GMC ADC tractor.

Thanks everyone...and thanks to Doug for posting the link.
And yes Tim it was a great day out in my favorite area of the planet (at least of the areas I've been to). Headed out of there to a little family restaurant in Arroyo Grande I like, then to a nice used book store in Grovers Beach and finished the day heading north to Morro Bay to watch the sun set over the 'Rock'. The only way it could get better would be to come into enough money to move there permanent. |
