Thanks for the nice shots of the Jenny. I've loved the Curtiss Jenny ever since I saw The Great Waldo Pepper when I was a kid.

As I recall, we might have carried a COD or two at times for turn around maintenance but the CODs were attached to a shore based squadron. They came and went.

Now, it's possible I could be wrong and the COD may have been part of the embarked airwing. I spent nearly all of my carrier days deep below decks and might have missed some observations. But I do recall the great anticipation of seeing a COD offloading mail from home before the modern days of computers and e-mail.
