Mikael Carlson"s Dr1 Triplane in Flight
YouTube - Mikael Carlson and his Fokker Dr.1 "Dreidecker" - air-to-air!
Film of a replica Fokker Dr.1 Triplane in flight. Some shots are form the cockpit and, as he lands, whenever he hits the coup button you can see a puff of caster oil-laden smoke emerge behind the airplane. Don |

Thanks, Don - wonderful film & sound! Did you notice the propeller? Mikael Carlson was flying over Skane in southern Sweden. I didn't know that he had made a Fokker Triplane in addition to his famous Tummelisa, and the Bleriot. How does he do it...
Here are some still photos. Sources (Air Veterans of Skane & Swedish Flying Veterans): Skånes Veteranflygförening - Fokker Dr.1 Bilder i bildväxlaren på SFF första sida Leif Last edited by Leif Ohlsson; 04-12-2009 at 02:13 PM. |

Nah, it's a free download.
But I shouldn't wonder if he's had some help with the colour-scheme from the research made by Roman Seissler at Sero-Papermodels (website now unfortunately defunct, except for email address). See Hans-Gerd's model on this site. Leif Last edited by Leif Ohlsson; 04-13-2009 at 01:44 AM. |
