John Griffin passed away...........
I just received a message that John Griffin, author of Hawker Tempest II and V and two P-47 Thunderbolts on my site passed away after prolonged battle with cancer. He will be sorely missed....

Wow. John was a high school friend of mine and this site brought us back in contact. I actually ended up working a job with his brother Josh, and when John stopped posting here I casually asked what John was up to. They're not terribly close and he didn't have any information, and then about a year or so ago we moved to different jobs sites. Really shocking news.
