It was a good day and, as ever, we generate a lot of interest because most people simply do not believe the models are made of paper.

Mike the model is from publisher 'Gallimard Jeunesse'. Sadly the company is no more but a diligent search on the Internet may produce some copies.

Tim thanks for posting the pictures.

And straight off the presses just received an email from David Hathaway, who many of you will know of, advising us that he was in a car crash, leaving the show yesterday afternoon. He is well, apart from a couple of sprains and a bit of bruising, but his new car is in a bad state and was recovered. Also his show models were in the boot. He hasn't had time to take a look. I'm sure we all wish him well.

Hi people

Yes I was involved in a bad shunt yesterday after leaving the show. My car (3 weeks old and 680 miles travelled) was badly damaged and I was taken to hospital for x-rays, but I am just bruised and have a sprained wrist (typing this very slowly). No-one else was badly injured - it could have been much much worse.

My models are still in the boot of my car which I will get access to tomorrow. As the boot is now about half the size it was before the crash I am afraid the models are also half about the size they should be :-(

But - they are only models and can be made again.

Today was spent with insurance company "stuff" and getting a temporary car.

The new Granuaile model was set to be published last night but I stopped it auto-appearing on my website as I cannot physically print, bag and post orders for a few days - so I ask that those who want it are patient for a little while longer.

David

Is always great to see paper models on display in a show.

Was is a contest event, or only "show and tell"?

@ David, I hope you are doing much better!

Just picked up all my personal belongings and models from the car before it goes to the workshop for estimating the cost of repairs...

And amazingly it looks like the models can be best described as "shaken but not stirred". They have been tossed around but the boxes they were in have not been crushed - so I have a couple of evenings repairing masts and rigging, etc but nothing more serious than that. Will have a better picture when I have unpacked them tonight but it looks like the fairy godmother of card models was keeping them safe.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts and wishes. Wrist is still painful but already much better than it was.

David
