Visit to Israel
I had the great pleasure of meeting some of my Israeli paper modelers colleagues while on a trip to Israel last week. I took the opportunity of combining my various meetings with this group.
We met at Yoav's home on Monday Oct 26th morning and spent 4 glorious hours with the folks being served tea, coffee and pastries. In our meeting we had Yoav, Yaron, Theo, Ron P. and Moshe A. Since this was during working hours, it was not easy to gather. I was surprised at this gathering and folks brought their finished models as well as in process projects. In addition, each showed their techniques, challenges and build tips. Yoav also gave us a live demo on weathering his F-15 panels, and engine side inlet attachment. here are some pics. I have to say it was a great meeting and showed how our hobby can cross physical boundaries. Isaac

I wish I could meet more
My time in Israel was sudden and brief. I had to juggle my work and personal schedule and it only allowed for that brief time for us to meet. I would have liked to meet more of the in country builders and apologize, that I could not.
Also, do display as many models during the upcoming in country IPMS contest in December. Here is a little bonus. I saw this F-4 displayed outside the IAF training school at the Haifa airport. Toda raba le kulam. Isaac

You lucky man, Isaac. Four hours isn't long but it seems that you all made the best of it and had a good time to boot. You are in a perfect position to be an ambassador for the hobby.. I must say you do a great job. Thank you for sharing the pics as well.

Hi Isaac,
Sounds like a really wonderful trip. I was blessed to go to Israel a few years ago on business, but unfortunately, did not have time to go see the historical sites. I was staying in Ashkelon and working in Ashdod. Never got to see Jerusalem (but saw the road sign going there!) Best Regards,
