Holiday Greetings, Courtesy of the USAF Band

During the Christmas season, the United States Air Force Band conducts a flash mob performance. This year they performed at the Union Station in Washington, DC, playing pop songs and commemorating veterans of World War II: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khQN5ylb3H0

Last year, they performed at the National Air and Space Museum with traditional music: http://www.littlethings.com/airmen-holiday-flashmob/?utm_source=huffingtonpost.com&utm_medium=referral &utm_campaign=pubexchange

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I think you will enjoy this music and the way that the USAF Band performs it.

Best wishes to all,

Don

2018 Holiday Greetings from the USAF Band

They haven't done a "flash mob" performance this year, but this performance at the Washington National Cathedral is mighty fine.

And for jazz lovers, the 2015 World War II flashback performed at Union Station in Washington, DC, USA, is worth a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khQN5ylb3H0&t=9s

This was great, thanks for sharing. I had the pleasure of seeing the United States Marine Band perform in Washington, DC a few years back. These bands really are phenomenal. Any chance to see them live would definitely be worth wild!

Wow!!!!

Quick question, do they have to be Airborne Qualified? Lots and lots of jumpmaster wings... Or am I just seeing things?

Incredible!

Thanks Don, my eyes are watering.

I greatly enjoyed the Union Station flash mob performance; it was right up my street.

And while I'm here may I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Don.

Hi, as well as being a contributing model-maker and designer on this forum, I also paint for a living as well. This watercolour which I painted a couple of years ago at an aircraft museum near Coventry in the UK is currently for sale. If you know of anyone who would be interested in seeing this, I'd be much obliged if you would share this info. Kind Regards. Rupert.

USAF Band Holiday Performance

So far, there has been no USAF Band Flash Mob this year, but they have offered a great 1940s swing Holiday Spectacular: https://www.facebook.com/USAFBand/vi...9870775820045/
