My dad and I go crazy for Hawker Hurricanes or Spitfires or Avro Lancasters. We love WWII birds.
Did you get any pics of the C-17 or 707? I'd like to visit there one day.

I'm jealous!!!!! I haven't been there in many years. I'd love to get back there.

So, You will be designing each and every aircraft and or vehicle you took a picture of, RIGHT??? Lol

The mystery plane form post 3 (Navy bird with ORANGE!) looks to be a King Air. In Military lingo, It is called the C-12 Huron. See the attached picture for a better look.

The USAF has the MC-12 Liberty which is a ISR platform. These are being retired by the AF and transferred to the Army for continued mission use.

They've got a couple 707's there. a C-135 Vomit Comet, a KC-135, and a VC-137. I didn't get any pics this trip. They don't have a C-17 (yet).

I do plan on designing as many of their planes as I can. I only posted about a third of the pictures I took. The rest were reference shots for models, and intake and exhaust shots for photo-imaging of intake and exhaust plates. I also took a straight on shot of every radial engine they had accessible.

I would have loved to have gone with you this time, but I've been bed ridden for the past two weeks with pneumonia. Been too weak to even work on paper models. I'm trying some new antibiotics this week, hopefully they will do the trick. Apparently my lungs just are not made for the dry Arizona air. I need to get back to Oregon so I can use my gills to breath.

I will get my photos from my last Pima County outing downloaded and see if I have any to add to your collection. I recommend anybody visiting Pima County to visit the museum, and pay the extra $7 for the airbase tour bus. There's also a Titan Missile Silo museum about 30 minutes drive away from the museum.

If you ever get back to helicopter designs, I don't think anybody has designed the single engine H-52 (the orange chopper next to the H-3). It's a bit of an oddball, with the engine off centered.

Here's one you missed, the original F-117 Stealth Fighter, before they messed it up with the black paint job. Very rare.

Pima is a nice museum. Great staff too! Did you happen to also plan a visit to the Titan Missile Museum? Not far and not much for modeling, but a fun visit none-the-less.
