For DFW Modelers, Effort to Bring A B-58 home to the Fort Worth Aviation Museum
For any B-58 fans in the DFW area, the Fort Worth Aviation Museum just started an effort to bring a B-58 back to Fort Worth.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/983337385054508/ No ropes or saw horses to keep visitors from getting up close to the aircraft, about the only thing off limits is the cockpits. |

Thanks for the post. Where is the new home to be? If I remember right, at one time there was one out in front of the General Dynamics plant (Lockheed now) at Carswell AFB (Joint Navel Base thing now), what happened to that one?....Rich

The Carswell TB-58 was sent to Galveston. I don't know if it was damaged by the hurricanes, but you could get close to it while it was there, no cockpit access though. They did have an error about it being a 4 man trainer( with only 3 ejection seats).

It's going to be at the Fort Worth Aviation Museum, on the South East end of Meachem Airport.
3300 Ross Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76161 Fort Worth Aviation Museum It'll be the biggest plane they've got, the next biggest is an F-111. |
