Koolwheelz at Mopar Maritime Annual Car Show 2016
As I already mentioned in my KoolWheelz thread, I designed an exclusive KoolWheelz model
for the Nova Scotia based Mopar Maritime Car Club. http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/547547-post1487.html The model was to be a printed Model Sheet giveaway, on the "Swag Table" at this years, Aug 21 Car Meet and Show. The annual event is held at Dartmouth Chrysler Jeep Dodge. Thom Brown, who serves as DJ and on the Executive Committee for the event, is the one who asked for the permission to print and share a particular Model. He says he built and displayed some models last year and got great response. I ended up creating an exclusive model just for the event, which also better suited my own promotional requirements. He just sent me some photos from the event, including some pics of the Models on display. Thom, himself, is not a car guy...says he prefers SciFi stuff! lol But I'm just glad he shared my models this way, and sent me some pics. I know many of you are "car guys" so I thought you might like to check it out.

Love the A100 pickup! We had an A300 Conversion Van with a pop top... best RV out there! Wish we still owned it!

A lot of nice classics. A lot of junk in the pile too! LOL You have to have a special kind of love for Chryslers That 64 A100 is my dream vehicle. I would love one of those as a daily driver. Although the lack of A/C would bother me. Same goes for the Plymouth Prowler...a dream car. I had many opportunties to pick up a Prowler at a very low price. In the early 2000s they were very affordable. Around $15k-$20k USD for an almost new. Now you have to pay twice that for a good condition used one! I just checked eBay, theres a few good deals, but the average asking prices are $30-$40k.

Really like that 31 Plymouth sedan delivery in the last 2 photos. Even being a Ford guy, always thought the early 30's Plymouth and Dodges were as good looking as Ford and better then most of the Chevys. But you rarely see any.

I was looking at that last photo...I noticed the tricked out Chrysler 300.
Then I realized...those two cars, side by side, are 80 years apart (1934-2014) and thats what has happened to cars. Sure, the new car is nice...a dream to drive. But theres something about the style that has been lost. "They just don't build 'em like that any more!"

Some nice cars. Those old ones do have good style.
I always liked the look of Plymouth Woodies from the 1940's.

Thanks for sharing the pics Dave, the '58 Fury and the '56 red/white Desoto hardtop are a pleasure for the eyes. And of course, your models look great!
