Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that Harvard was created by Gary...?
I do sell a Harvard RCAF 412, but Gary created his model before I released my version.
He did use one of my Harvard kits, but did his own repaint.
Or, am I remembering incorrectly?
Nice job anyway.

We can get together again at a later time. Two more modelers may join us then.

I will let Gary comment on his model

Cool Pics of our models

Darius brought his small ship models that he designing. Those get 3D printed and sent to the manufacturer that then cast them in soft metal. The models are then hand painted. Superb

Indeed we had an exciting day at Isaac's place.

Time went by quickly while we enjoyed each others company and models.

Thanks, Isaac and wife, for your kind hospitality and I look forward for more meetings in the future.

Fantastic time.

I like your idea of meeting at the Heritage Con in Hamilton on March 26th.

HeritageCon 9Hobby Show & Model Contest - Home

I note that the contest rules have no restriction on materials, so we could enter our paper models in all categories ( and lose ), and show our paper capabilities. or we could have our own paper table for display ( I am really not interested in medals ).

"Materials:
Models may be constructed from any Material "

I'll open a new thread on that contest.

Isaac

p.s. it is still super foggy in downtown Toronto.

Sorry to ring in late.

I had a fantastic time. I met new friends and learned a lot.

Thank you Isaac and Cindy for hosting and putting up with us.

Dave: The Harvard is your model, my re-paint resides in British Columbia now.

Great photos Issac, thank you for posting.

Gary

Great to see that the mini gathering went well. Always good to put names and faces together. Thanks for the pics. Looking forward to more.

Read some of my older threads.
Plenty of comments about HeritageCon and the Hamilton IPMS group.

Worst time I ever had at a Model event.
Terrible attitude of any model club I have met so far.
Very unreceptive and snobbish bunch in my opinion.
I did meet a handful of locals who showed some interest at my Vendors table,
but the attitude of the event Staff was awful.

And, as far as entering paper models...
No, they will not accept paper models in any category.
No, they would not create a category for paper models.
Yes, your models can sit on the "pot pourri" table.
No they wont be judged (based on what I saw last time I was there)

I got in touch with their club president ( Allan ) and you are correct about not entering or being judged. So that is out the window. However, I don't mind a table to display models. He said he will bring this up to his board's discussion and let me know.

The reality, is that we are guests and unless we can gather 100's of paper modelers, we are just little gnats to be ignored. But , I don't mind being a side show. So I am game for that and anyone else can do the same with paper.

Isaac
