Sadly, one of those Sea Furys crashed after losing power on approach yesterday. Both the pilot and passenger survived the crash but both were injured. Here's the story from the local newspaper

Glad the pilots are alive. Sad to see the aircraft destroyed.

Great photos of old birds. Always enjoy watching them. I need to keep this airshow in mind.

I enjoy the static display more than flying because I am always curious about the technical details and features of these planes. These old planes have technical and structural issues requiring extra care and maintenance and are at risk when they fly.

I would rather prefer they build brand new 100% externally correct replicas for flying around than fly these old planes ( the reason this is not done is due to FAA certification requirements. So it is easier to rebuild crashed and smashed planes than certify a replica, I get it ).
