Room is booked
May 12th convention date is fast approaching. We are now a month away.
 I stopped by the Hope hotel, surveyed the meeting room, semi arranged the tables and pay up. So that is taken care of. As of today, the room is free on Friday , so if that stays the same, we can set up the room and our models that evening ( May 11th ) . Lets hope! Some pics here of the venue. The room is being cleaned when I took the pics.  the hotel the room room name there are two large doorways typical long table with table cloth I requested long tables set out along two sides close to the walls with space for the table presenter We will also have one or two round tables for the Make and Take building sessions. I am expecting a good turnout from the public.  Getting closer now There is no shortage of space, so please bring as many models as you have. We will arrange it. I will send out PMs as we get closer to the folks that signed up. If any of you can join us, please let me know. Excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isaac

Counting down to May 12
We are less than a month away from our event.
I started prepping for the show and tell and the make and take and talking to folks at our IPMS club about it. Some pictures of the material I am accumulating;             some examples of the simple kits ( not all will be completed during the show )  and some of the models I am bringing ( I'll probably bring between 30 and 40 just in case.    If you attending, please post pics of some of the models you will bring. I reviewed the room yesterday and started to lay out the tables. In addition to the display tables, I will have one round table for the Make and Take and another for any of us that wish to build our models while others are looking Thanksl Isaac

If you see your PM handle here and find it wrong or your plans changed, please PM me. For those that are changing plans and want to join, you are welcome. Just PM me Cost is no object. There are at least 3 of us paying and the conference room is covered. So if money is an issue, do not be concerned. Anything from 0$ to $30 is OK. I will disburse any funds not used after cost of material toward the group dinner Saturday evening. I would like those that can to be at the hotel lobby around 5 pm on Friday May 11th to meet and set up the room. Those that arrive that Saturday, please show up by 8 am or so to set up. I have the models that I want to bring all assembled. Just need to dust them off and do some minor repairs. Then I get to see how many I can squeeze into a suitcase. I can only bring a few airliners because they take up so much room in the suitcase. The last time I brought a bunch of models on an airline the friendly people at the TSA completely emptied the box I had them in, examined every one for weapons, then tossed them back in the box mangling almost every model.

That is a great collection. It would be great if you can bring them all. If you want to do it in two stages, you can bring some during an earlier trip and leave them with me and then bring more on the day of the convention. Let me know and I can meet you in the Cincinnati or Dayton areas ( and in between ). Isaac
