Garden Models
Hello Model Friends
I would like to start here a new section which deals with the modeling in our front gardens. When cycling I see again and again lovingly built models in the gardens on the street. Mainly castles of all kinds, fictitious or modeled on a variety of materials. Of course, I would be happy to get to know models from your home communities. The start is made by a model plant from Fernitz near Graz, which is constantly being expanded with new models. I hope you enjoy the tour and look forward to your contributions, Yours sincerely Kurt |

This is a charming garden railway with an impressive collection of castles.
Castles are rare as garden ornaments in my part of the world. There aren't a lot of garden ornaments at all, and the most common kinds around here (Carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA) are windmills, wishing wells, Japanese bridges, sun dials, glass balls on pedestals, and various kinds of gnomes and animals (deer and fawns are the most popular). Some years ago there was a fad of black-painted plywood cutouts that looked like the silhouette of a man leaning against the house or a tree. Sometimes these 2-d people were decorated with actual red bandanas around their necks. And then there were the pink flamingos, which seem to be die-ing out. Don |

Love all your castles, and the time and effort behind them blows me away. The train is a very nice touch, but the first thought in my mind was a besieging army of Prudenzio soldiers.
Thanks so much for the pictures. |

What a charming castles! ♥️
I suppose the most difficult is to make them weatherproof. Is the architectural design yours?

Hello everyone
Came across a group of stone houses in the village of Dol on the island of Brac. The models are based on the originals in stone construction. Best regards Kurt |
