2017 Arizona Military Vehicle Show

Been trying to get some older shows and museums visits edited and loaded. A few samples: 1938 Series 60 Cadillac, supposedly one of Patton's staff cars. Probably like us car guys say about the big auctions: 'they're selling 4 of the only 3 ZR-1 Vettes build'. Freightliner Unimog, a Swiss Army knife of a truck. Guess it was sold as a Freightliner in North American as Daimler was taking them over. Gotta' have a Studebaker, even if it is a Weasel. M114 CRV. 1918 Liberty B truck. One of the plastic companies is doing it in 1/35 but no 24/25 version yet. Is there a card version of it in 24/25 that I haven't stumbled over? Enjoy.

Great pictures - really enjoyed them and would be interested in more if you have them.

The Unimog is a stunning vehicle and superb offroad. The high clearance also provides (coupled with sandbags on the floor) good mine protection. It had two very versatile power take-offs as well, and could be driven with BOTH power take-offs operating!

It was used widely in the conflicts in Southern Africa, expecially in Mozambique, Angola and Rhodesia. It was known as the "Two Five", and never called a Unimog! I don't know why.

Sorry, no more from that show. Think I've posted some previous years shows. Still need to get 2018 done, didn't go this year.
