ZOOM meeting for Texas paper modelers?

Is anyone in the Texas area interested in getting together on ZOOM to get acquainted and discuss projects, software, design issues and so on? The free version allows meetings of up to 40 minutes.

Not in Texas

Don't live in Texas but I'm interested in doing something like this for the group. Maybe a get acquainted thing for everyone. Show off some works.

Just my 2 cents.

Enjoy and fly safe!

You bet! Let's see how many of us are interested in doing this. I could see having separate on-line gatherings for several of the forum categories or interest groups.

Doesn't have to be ZOOM, specifically, either. I recall seeing that Google and Microsoft have their software for this. I don't know if they have free versions.
If we keep the group size to 6, we can see each other pretty easily. If more than that, the coordinator might have his/her work cut out for them, with too many of us trying to speak at the same time.

The reason I suggested my own geographical area was the difficulty is setting a time that would be convenient, or at least agreeable, to all the participants.

I might do that, if it happens to fall on a night I'm not overbooked.

I assume you are being a bit facetious. I dig it. We are talking about a virtual meeting, of course. A bit early, I suspect, for in-person meetings.

That said, maybe we can fit you in. Where are you?

I have set up a free account with ZOOM. Time is limited to 40 minutes per meeting. I have sent PM's to surfduke and RyanShort1, asking them to email me so I can reply with a link to the meeting, after we set up a time for it.

I already have Willard11's email address.

AirDave, I didn't see any way to contact you in case you would like to join us.

If anyone else would like join in, let me know.

As for the day and hour, I am retired and self-isolating, so my time is pretty well open these days. Any day and any hour between say, 9am and 10pm US Central Time Zone, would work for me.

That would be interesting. I haven't "zoomed" yet, so I'll have to check it out.
