National Civil War naval Museum photos
Hi Guys
I was in Columbus last summer and had the opportunity to stop again to see the museum. It is a fantastic place if you like ACW naval stuff and I think alot of you guys do from the traffic here. So I'm going to post my photos and hope that others will post photos that they may have as well. I enjoyed the cannon tubes that were recently posted and have been trying to decide if one is a triple banded Brooke or a Blakely. If its a Brooke would that make it one that so punished the US fleet off Charleston? Ok, on to photos from the museum. Oh yeah they have a working 2 banded Brooke on a ship carriage outside that they fire i think on weekends and special occasions. My future son-in-law is a BM in the Navy and we're going to take him to it next summer. Vernon |

Thanks for the photos. It's hard to appreciate the sheer size of the recovered ironclads from just the photos. I have forgotten which ones they have at the museum, but they are HUGE! It's one of those must see museums.
