Tillamook Naval Airstation Museum

Hello all; I am posting a link to my Facebook album of pics from my families trip to the Tillamook Airmuseum, had a great time and fun taking pics of all the planes and equipment there. Login | Facebook. Please let me know if the link does not work right, there is a couple hundred photos, I got a good set of the Mini-Guppy on display, inside and out.

The last time I was at the Tillamook museum, the P-38 was taxiing out and preparing for take-off. I recall taking a video of it as it passed by us. If I can find it, I'll post it somewhere if anyone wants to see it. It ain't that great of a video if I recall.

But the museum is a great place. I especially liked the Mauler there.

The second link worked fine for me. I did notice one thing they are missing---a large collection of paper model airplanes. Maybe they would take donations? I visited the military museum in Sacramento last summer, and was surprised to find a bunch of very nicely built 1/33 scale kits hanging off the walls in the basement. It was a little gem of a find, but now I can't find the photos I took.

I agree, they had a few cases of built up plastic ones, but no paper ones, and none in the store for sale either...oh and the one model kit you would think they would have... a model of the blimps stationed there, was not to be had:(. I do have some pics of the models, most very nicely done. AshRunner, the Mauler was a couple of planes down from the Skyraider, both in Navy blue and looking very clean and well kept. I did get a few pics of both just did not post them all up. I do have a mess of pics form the EverGreen Museum trip as well I could post them up also.
