spent significant time working on Cleo, but made a couple little parts, railing for quarterdeck and figurehead, both partly made of wood as is the bowsprit, macro does not help her appearance, but this is way out of my comfort zone...

(It would be much easier if the figurehead was a bird, especially a duck, I've made a few of those out of wood, maybe say a goldeneye or canvasback?)

It's looking good!! Have you started on the masts yet? I've only built one sailing ship (wood) but I remember it was really satisfiying to get the masts up. It seemed to double in size with very little work.
