Progressing nicely and the hull does look good indeed. How long is the hull?

Thank you Barry, Chris. The hull without keel or rudder is about 15 inches. I think with bowsprit and captains cabin should be considerably larger. The fit on this kit is remarkable. Very good. I can tell if something I did is off by markings of where it should be, wow!

Good progress, Glen. How are you managing to work this and the Spit at the same time? And is the Claude still in the queue? Don

Don, thanks for your input on these, since the Claude is done I'm freed up from design at present, so some additional work time (less computer work)
and the spit I'm doing at breaks at work while the ship is in drydock on my hobby desk(referred to in this way only by me). The release of the Claude is hampered by unexpected significant issues at fg, unfortunately, although with both myself and Chip working on it has I think made a respectable model....we even got to work in person on it together briefly, but I don't know how Chip can resolve the website issues, I'm of no help at all on that.

heres the latest update, deck painted, getting ready to put on the colored planks on the sides, although the bow may need some smoothing off first

And I suspect a certain air of 'Joyfulness' creeping in too.

We might need to get a ruling from the judges

Oooooh! This is really shaping up. Mark brings up a good point -- we don't want you to get disqualified for inadvertently experiencing or stimulating comfort and/or joy whilst building this vessel.

Send a message via Yahoo to Bill Short
It sure is looking nice so far. I was wondering where you purchased the kit/drawings?

Regards,
Bill
