Thanks Birder.

Update: I have both wings done, just need to glue to spars. I had one engine pod 90% done when I realized I put in 3 of the formers the wrong direction. DOH!! Now I will try and get the proper pages (3 of them I believe) printed and restart. The flaps are proving to be confusing, so I put them on the back burner and started the engines. It'll all get done eventually.

After a few nights of stalling, I got back on the Starship. After complete idiocy of building the last 3 parts of the engine wrong, I built the right engine

Then, for something different I did the nose gear

Then came the fun of actually joining the nose and fuselage together.

Unfortunately, I was a bit off on my formers and created a little gap.

I decided at this point that I'm not doing all of that over again because I'd never have a chance of finishing before Christmas. So, I developed a patch strip

The top part looks kinda bad, but the bottom is nice and smooth.

Next, I did a dry test fit of the wings

The main gear wells cause a bit of a problem, which resulted in me chopping up some of the wing formers. They still hold shape pretty well though. Tomorrow I hope to maybe attach the wings and get the main gear done.

Go Willy!!

Good for the little patch there! I think it covers fine the gap.

WoW! I've been lazy. A bad case of bronchitis and then a couple nausea inducing migranes might have something to do with it. I have one of the wings attached now. I've got one of the main gear done, and am finishing the second. I really hope to get this thing done before the deadline.

Well, I hate to inform you, but the Starship is dead. It took a tumble a couple of nights ago while in transport to the work table. The rear 2 sections of the fuselage were squished, and one of the wings got crushed (aka- stepped on). I still don't know where some of the LG parts went, and I'm also an engine down. There's just no way I'll get everything done before the dead line. Sorry to disappoint those who were really waiting for this. If I get time after Christmas I'll try to fix and finish. I really like the model so far, and it has really pushed my skills.
