Hello Willygoat,
Nice choise, I have this one on my HD, The text on page 3,4 & 5( the first 3 pages with parts) says: reinforce the page with 1mm paperboard. on page 6,7 & 8; print on normal (80gr/m)paper, thes are the glueing tabs The rest should be printed on 160gr paper The other remarks are mainly about the way you have to build the most detailled version.. Zum Wohl..

Thanks Billy. I guessed correctly about the laminated parts then. I saw "1mm" in the notes and figured by that and what the parts were, that they needed to be thick. I also guessed correctly then on the connecting strips.
Chris, the fit so far is quite amazing. There was one spot when doing the instrument panel and housing that was a bit off. But, that's because I slipped with the knife when cutting out the panel, and it was a bit misshapen after that. Other than that, all 8 of the seats go together perfectly. I'm hoping finish the controls in the cockpit and to start on the nose section of the fuselage tonight. |

I had this built up this kit to the point of putting the interior together, before life got in the way. When I went back to it, it had been crushed beyond repair. I am looking forward to your build. It is a great kit, and the price is spot on.

okay, I have more work done, but still no pictures. Apparently, my 14 month old son got a hold of the digital camera this morning and some how figured out how to remove the battery. So, as soon as I find it, I'll take some pictures. My guess is, it's under the couch. All of the "good" stuff goes under there.
On the build, I have made a little progress. I now have the outer section of the nose completed. I installed the nose gear well and the spars for the canards. The canards are also done, but not glued on yet. The cockpit is complete as well. The main gear wheel wells are done also. I had begun cutting out window frame scrap for the windshield and cabin windows. I hope to start on the interior cabin soon. The instructions don't really have an order to them, so I've been skipping around. It makes for an interesting build. |
