lol thanks guys. the hard part will be the test build. the reciever will have to be reinforced to allow for a moving bolt.ive allowed for space to do that in the 3d but wont know till building if i did it right. also the bullet should chamber. as for the flutes at this point im thinking textures. the barrel will use several sheets of paper and cutting the flutes will butcher the cylinder. i dont know though. ill think about it.

Don't concern yourself too much. I'll probably have a cabinet maker run a router up a piece of dowel for mine anyway. Having said that, do you know what the diameter of the barrel will be? ..and the length from back of the muzzle break to the front of the body? Thanks. This gun will be buckets of awesome.

may I suggest wrapping paper around a dowel in several layers to achieve enough strength for long time showcase? after many layers the dowel can be removed

ill look into it chris when i start building.buch of reinforcement issuse need resolving once i start building. iv allowed for it but wont know if done right till i build.

still have the scope to make but started textures...

prelim textures done. needs a lot of post editing. also im waiting to unfold to find the best place to cut the large parts to fit sheet of paper. now need scope and mag release.

started scope. i decided to use for the kit the schmidt&bender 3-12x50 pm II. its the scope the marines are replaceing their inventory with.
