next little bit. i knew the holes were going to be tricky. i formed the part then cut the holes. i felt if i cut the holes first then rolled the part i wouldnt get a clean roll. i probably could have gotten away with it on this short section but i think cutting holes first on the long parts later would be a nightmare. hard to tell from this picture but there is a barrel piece inside there.

I second that - Looks good. Those holes will be tough, no matter how you do it - and will really make or break the build. Good luck on them!

Really Glad you gone with the physical holes rather than just a texture. I guess you could just leave the holes in black for those who would like an easier build?

Also, any possibilities of a plain, non textured version as well? I'll be painting mine, and rather selfishly would rather not use all of the ink.....

after some reediting and a few build blunders ive finally made a bit more progress.

mousemuffins - ill try to get a white copy done. unfortunately it is not as simple as just deleting the textures. for some reason pep loses most of the lines when presented with plain white format. which means ill probably have to redraw all the parts by hand. i dont know how well that will go.

Dang! I missed the chicken...... The barrel looks fantastic, though. Great work.

This is way cool! Love it, love it, love it. It looks very well designed and crafted. I would really like to build this one.

Earlier you mentioned rolling the barrels with precut holes would cause issues. Do you think it would still be a concern if the printed card were prerolled/formed between 2 pieces of construction paper?

Now if we can just dupe - er . . ENCOURAGE someone into doing a Sturmgewehr 44.
